My Places

So far I’ve done a pretty good job of ‘collecting’ countries.

I’m not one of those people who think just because they spent 2 days in Barcelona once they’ve ‘done’ Spain (ugh, hate those people) and I never tire of seeing new places.

The writing’s on the ‘peace wall’ – in Belfast

My current list of places is around 66 countries and territories and includes:

Abu Dhabi
Antigua
Argentina
Australia
Austria
Azores
Bali
Belgium
Belize
Brazil
Brunei
Cambodia
Canada
Cyprus
Costa Rica
Czech Republic
Denmark
Dominica
Dubai
Egypt
England
Estonia
Finland
France
Germany
Gran Canaria

I really like your travel blog. …:-) But I can see a country you have not travelled yet! Come and visit New Zealand. An amazing country with stunning landscape and amazing people. I’ll be happy to recommend special areas to see. Why not come and see our new Lodge, you won’t regret it. http://westhavenretreat.com

Hi Monika – thanks, and yes you’re right, I have never visited New Zealand, how crazy is that! I’d love to visit the lodge when I do make it over – please do connect with me over on Facebook and Twitter etc. 🙂

Lanzarote is not a country, it’s an Island, part of SPAIN
Gran Canaria is not a country. It’s an Island. Part of SPAIN
Majorca is not a country. It’s an Island. Part of SPAIN
The above three are part of the CANARIES.

Ibiza is not a country .It’s an Island. Part of SPAIN
Ibiza is part of the BALERICS.
Please, don’t confuse people. the above are *NOT* independent countries.
    🙂

Read again. It says list of places. So it’s correct. You seem to be the one who’s confused 😉

Thanks for pointing that out on my behalf 🙂 Indeed I listed places because as I’m sure anyone from Ibiza or Lanzarote will tell you they may be politically part of Spain but geographically, culturally etc. they have their own very distinct histories and identities – and visiting Spain and visiting the Canaries or Balearics is not the same thing at all!
