Today was the last day of London’s South Bank Chocolate Festival, so I popped along to nibble on some goodies.

The Chocolate Festival  is essentially a collection of high quality chocolate, cake and sweets stalls set in the area around the Royal Festival Hall.

It was a nice opportunity to meet chocolate makers, and sample some great organic chocolate from a selection of suppliers who may not have a permanent presence in Central London, and judging by the busy crowds, a lot of chocolate was being snapped up as Christmas stocking-fillers.

There was plenty of non-chocolate produce too such as Pasteis de Nata and gluten-free cakes as well as the classic omnipresent cupcakes, but I particularly enjoyed a peanut butter and grape jelly brownie from Outsider Tart‘s selection of USA-style baked goods.

Their Chiswick store has a far larger range of edible Americana involving s’mores and the enticingly named ‘whoopie pies‘, plus they do a range of dog biscuits for the ultimate pampered pooch; how can any dog owner resist buying something called Pupcakes!
